Meet Pat
For over four decades, Pat and her husband Richard have proudly called Monroe home. When they first arrived, they didn’t know a soul, but it didn’t take long for this vibrant, welcoming community to embrace them. What began as an adventure quickly became a lifelong commitment to the people and progress of Monroe.
Pat brings a wealth of experience in business, leadership, and community service. With more than 25 years in the banking industry, she worked closely with families and small businesses to help them achieve their financial goals. As Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Operations, she led a team of over 150 employees across three states, driving results through collaboration, integrity, and vision.
Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to own and operate multiple retail locations throughout the Charlotte metro area, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities local business owners experience.
Pat’s dedication to Monroe deepened through her service on the Union County Chamber Board of Directors, where she volunteered for eight years before being selected as President and CEO following a nationwide search. Under her leadership, the Chamber grew in membership, expanded its volunteer base, and significantly increased its revenue. Pat championed initiatives in economic development, infrastructure investment, workforce readiness, and education, always with a focus on building strong relationships and delivering meaningful impact.
Beyond her professional achievements, Pat has devoted 40 years to volunteer service and community engagement. Her commitment to Monroe is rooted in action, compassion, and a belief that progress happens when people work together.
Now, Pat is ready to bring that same energy, experience, and heart to the role of Mayor, leading Monroe into its next chapter with grit, grace, and a deep love for the place she calls home.
